Clear dark brown beer, short lived pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, some fine minerally carbonation on the backend. Smooth dark malts, dry. Mild dry cream. Cereal sweetness. Touch of dark chocolate and a whisper of fruit. Dry finish. Tasty enough but at the end of the day it’s just another stout, albeit a smooth one.

Bottle shared during the satellite Travlr 10K tasting at CBC Clerkenwell - London. Thanks to Fergus (I think...)! Pours clear brown with a creamy, beige head. Simple beer but tasty, with sugary bread, light roast, some tar, balancing bitter earth. Light to medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Light jammy berries on the finish along with notes of chocolate and understated roasted malts. Pretty good. Easygoing and tasty.

At a tasting, smallish creamy head, very dark brown but not completely opaque colour, aroma of cocoa, chocolate, some charred wood and toasted bread, flavour of dark toasted bread, roasted coffee and some chocolate., quite mellow. Really nice and enjoyable.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Jet black with a slight tan head. Ashy malts, plain chocolate, some sweetish prune fruit and semi-dry finish. Good.
