Teku showing dark grape red with a finger of pink tinged foam. The nose shows pronounced notes of brett and bright black forest fruit. The palate is well carbonated and medium bodied. Moderately tart with brett and light flavors of black forest fruit - plum, dark cherries. Mild red wine bitterness on the end. Lightly tannic on the finish.

(750ml bottle from Mikkeller and Friends Bottle Shop) Pours clear medium red with a fizzy whitish head that continues to build itself up in my glass for an incredibly long time. Aroma is quite funky, cheese, wet barnyard, sweat, light bodied red wine, cherries/red forest berries, subtle tannins, wood. Flavour is smooth, fruitier and less funky than the nose. Notes of pinot noir grapes (strawberry, red forest berries, earth, lightly peppery herbs), some wet barnyard, lightly citrusy mild tartness, soft drying wood, lingering berry tones in finish (strawberry/berry pips). Medium bodied, quite overcarbonated and fizzy until it blew all its own carb out and ended flat. Sweet spot in the middle. Lovely pinot noir character comes through here, the strawberry aspect is particularly compelling and there's no excess acidity at all. Very lambic-esque.

Bottle, picked up at the Pilcrow, Manchester. Ribena red. Ring of dense, pale pink head. Nose has twangy red fruit. Light, sweet oak. Bit of a cherry lips sweets thing. Red grape skin. Taste is dry, tart, and has a little fruity sweetness on the lips. Drying on the palate. Foamy carbonation. (This was a slow gusher on opening). Dry and lightly tart finish. Nice, but given the Imperial Raz Bu I had recently, this was a slight let down.
