Snap! You just captured an unfiltered wheat beer full of refreshment and a flash of tart at the finish. Smile-inducing aromas of citrus hops jump from the nose, accompanied by the sweetness of coriander and grains of paradise. Brewed with wheat and pale malt, Snapshot pours a hazy, lemon-yellow with bright-white lacing. But the real enticement is the snap of tart. New Belgium’s affinity for sour beers led to the in-process blending of lactobacillus to pucker up Snapshot’s base. An extra step to acidify and beautify and get this beer ready for its close up.

New Belgium Snapshot 5% It is listed as a tart wheat beer with a cloudy light gold color that possesses a filmy eggshell white head. A tart wheat aroma that is very reminiscent of a Gose. The taste is wheat, soda bread, some lemon and a mild tartness. It feels to me it is midway between a Gose and a wheat ale. That tartness is very mild in the finish. It's ok but isn't as good as the previous two bottles. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Frothy rocky white head. Hazy golden color. Slightly sour wheat nose. Low carbonation. Easy drinking but a bit muddled for the style. Too malty.

Tap at Watering Hole. Hazy yellow with a nice soapy white head that lasts throughout. Wheat and lemon on the nose with some lemonhead sour/sweetness going on. Taste is all wheat with a nice tart kick, but not sour by any means. Medium body with average carbonation. Nice and refreshing with a lightly tart finish. Really enjoyable.

Tap at Bud. Pale pastel yellow with lace. Lemony, somewhat slaty nose, wheat crackers. Tart lemon flavor, a bit of yogurt, rather bland. Not quite a Berliner or Gose, though seemingly heading that way.

This wheat poured a slightly cloudy, bright yellow colour with a big ole foamy head. Scents include cream, light hops and corn? First swig was somewhat thin. Flavours of almost a light vinegar/wine flavour. Finish is very light wine lingering.

355 ml bottle. Pours a hazy, pale yellow with a small white head that laces. Light aroma of yeast, wheat, citrus and a hint of spice. Sweet flavour of citrus, wheat, yeast and coriander with a slightly tart, spicy finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Pretty simple but very refreshing.
