Snap! You just captured an unfiltered wheat beer full of refreshment and a flash of tart at the finish. Smile-inducing aromas of citrus hops jump from the nose, accompanied by the sweetness of coriander and grains of paradise. Brewed with wheat and pale malt, Snapshot pours a hazy, lemon-yellow with bright-white lacing. But the real enticement is the snap of tart. New Belgium’s affinity for sour beers led to the in-process blending of lactobacillus to pucker up Snapshot’s base. An extra step to acidify and beautify and get this beer ready for its close up.

BBE 13 JUL 14 - Pours hazy yellowish with a large white head. Aroma of tart wheaty notes, yeast, spices and earthy notes. Taste is malty, wheaty and slightly spicy with some yeast and earthiness. Finish is yeasty, earthy and slightly fruity with some spicy notes. A bit unbalanced and stuffy.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, best by date September 7, 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is estery, medium body, medium carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is tart lemon with wheat backbone. Easy to drink, refreshing, and pretty good.

355ml can. Gråsälstasting #4. BBE 13.11.2014. Cloudy yellow, thin white head. Wheat, mild sourness, citrus. Flavor has wheat, sourness, flour. Refreshing. Don’t mind the sourness.

Bottle: Fizzy, pale, and yellow topped with a huge foamy white head. Ends up with a light haze after swirling in the sediment. Nose is wheat and florals, sort of sweet with a light spice and grass clippings. Seems OK so far. Good body, nice weight, and a very sessonable flavor. Lightly floral, grass, wheat, and herbal. Lemon in the finish. A nice balance and very likeable lawnmower beer.

Bottle. A- Wheat, corn, slightly sweet. A- Pale yellow color, slightly hazy liquid, white head. T- Wheat, corn, musty,. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, boring finish. O- I was so excited to try this, it ultimately let me down. Pretty average and mundane. Just not too pleasing.
