On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear deep brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a boozy bourbon with slightly bitter dark grains, chocolate and a hint of toffee. Flavor has earthy dark grains with a bit of chocolate and a bourbon bite backing.

12 oz. can sent by Haymarket for comment. Pours a fizzy, soda like foam over a deep brown beer body. The smell is predominated by alcohol notes, with a grainy mix in the background. Taste is more pronouced with the bourbon notes once I get further into it. Before that, just some nice roasty grainy texture. Not much hop, as expected. Like a highball of bourbon with German dark lager.

On tap at Haymarket - Bridgman, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out very gentle bourbon, liquid bread, and caramel. Flavour is gently barrel-heavy, with caramel, toasted bread and a little molasses. Quite dry for such a malty beer. Not sure it's better than the base beer, as the bourbon doesn't actually come through all that much. Very good nonetheless.
