Poured from the tap. Quite dark mahogany brown with small beige head. Bready rye malt, molasses, light caramel malt. Simple and tasty.

On tap at Great Notion, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bready malt and toasted caramel, with a fairly dry character. Flavour is rich and decadent, with brown sugar, molasses, rye, bready malt and toasted caramel. Lower sweetness for a barley wine — probably the rye cuts down on some of it. Complex and beautifully integrated.
