A BC twist on the traditional Flemish sour brown, fermented and aged on hundreds of pounds of locally grown blueberries. Tart fruit is immediately apparent in aroma, and flavour, intermingled with notes of sherry, graham wafer, and a drying almond finish.

Poured from 500mL bottle @ Weathered 2023. Hazy reddish brown with small white head. Feint Berry, some balsamic notes, touch of oak. Lacks depth, but inoffensive.

On tap at Patina, pours a hazy dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma is unpleasant, with thin, vinegary Worcestershire sauce — yuck, that doesn't smell good. Flavour is more or less the same, with thin tart fruit, Worcestershire, and balsamic. Thin, lacking depth and integration. I appreciate the ambition to brew an oud bruin, but this needs some serious work.
