Notes of sweet maple syrup shine in combination with tropical fruit notes from Brett cultures and light vanilla character from bourbon and oak. This table strength saison was aged for just under 2 years in a single barrel that first held bourbon and then held maple syrup.

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Mild maple, light oak, saison yeast. A little thin.

Golden colour, with a thin head. On the nose, has that toasty note that is from the maple after the sugars have fermented out. I mean it’s a funny character, garam masala I swear, or at least cumin and cardamom. But I know that’s just the residuals after you ferment out maple. Okay, I like a beer that makes me think.

On tap at The Bakery, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle maple syrup upfront, with rustic saison yeast and bready notes—bizarre. Flavour is bizarre—why would you brew this?—the maple syrup clashes with the farmhouse notes, creating a very bizarre flavour profile. This doesn't work.
