Tasting at Phill's, can
Black colour. Strong aroma of chocolate and maple. Moderately sweet; dark chocolate flavour, but the maple comes through in an artificial way. Feeling of sweeteners

16oz (thx, Chris S.!)@ Phill's. Appearance: dark brown with a dark beige head. Aroma: maple syrup bomb, smells like a Mornin' Delight, hehe. Taste: along the same lines, not that rich as TG which is explainable by 8.5% vs 12%, some nice bourbon notes coming in the aftertaste. Overall: almost like a light version of TG beer, too bad for me not being Canada-born to like maple syrup, lol.

473mL can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with maple syrup, not getting the bourbon here. Flavour is full of maple syrup upfront, accentuated by the bourbon barrels. Loads of maple, but not a lot of complexity. Good stuff.

Poured from 473mL can. Black with small tan head. Lots of lingering maple, coffee, okay, but prefer the straight up maple each beast.

Can. Dark brown. Smells like a maple donut. Lots of maple, artificial. The stout comes through a little bit, but everything is filtered through maple. There's even a bunch of coffee in there, too, putting it all together for, well, not balance, but something like it?
