Tasting at Ryan's, corked bottle
Dark colour, burnt terra, no head. Aroma of stewed apples and prune juice. Thick, sweet, syrupy, with strong flavour of apple compote, some blackberry, moderate acidity, light astringency in the finish, and alcohol.
Very good.

Poured from 375mL bottle. Brownish red with almost no white head. Quite concentrated. Treacle, baked apple, light caramel. Syrupy texture, very sweet, but balanced with a nice acidity. Very good.

Deep maroon. Cooked apple and raisin notes. Sweet apple and raisin with a hint of red fruit. Solid.

375mL bottle, pours a deep dark rusted red, no head. Nose is full of treacle, caramel, brown sugar, baked apples, and a little molasses. Flavour is rich as hell, with intense baked, stewed apples, a fair bit of pucker, brown sugar, treacle, and molasses. Really thickly textured palate, with intense baked apples, caramel and treacle. Really thick, syrupy palate. Delicious.
