IVY BELLS is a custom blend of both traditional Barrel-aged and Solera-fermented spontaneous ales. Made by refermenting pineapple,apricot, pink guava, blood orange, raspberry, passion fruit, cherry and grape in a golden-blonde base beer blend. At BLACK PROJECT, blending beers is what we do, but this release is a chance to blend with fruit directly. The goal is not necessarily to be able to taste each of the fruit flavors individually, but to have the right amounts of each to create the end product that we feel is the most delicious.

Light amber with off white head - Fruity tropical aroma - Malt body with a tart tropical fruity flavour - The tart tropical fruity flavours goes into the finish - This was good

Sampled at BXL 18. Thnx for sharing, everyone. Pours unclear peachy, smell is passion fruit, taste is sharp. Intense, tart, oak. Funk. Passion fruit. Surprised by the low rates on this - my favorite beer of the festival. Might have gotten the wrong beer, than? Should revisit. Even if it was the right beer, since I did love it.

Bottle @ Mikkeller, Odense. Thanks Jonathan. Pours Hazy deep Golden with bubbles on top. Tart and yeasty nose with notes of plum and Apple skinz. Various fruity notes. Salty, tart and dry. Incomplex and a bit rough acetonish.

Sample @ BXL BeerFest 2018, shared with Belgian RB crew, thanks. Orange, col fin blanc. Arôme sur un bouquet marqué niveau acerbe et aigre, rétro fruité moyen entre rouges et abricot sur une tonne de funk. Palais est assez marqué niveau aigreur presque vinaigre, rhubarbe en rappel, effet sour est haut et marqué de trop pour moi. Heureusement que on reste au sample, jamais je na paierai 20$ pour cela .... meh.

Sampled @ BXL Beerfest 2018. A slightly hazy orange golden beer with a small white head. Aroma of red berries, beet root, brett. Taste of tart red grapes, red fruits, beet root, nice.

375ml bottle @ BXLBeerFest 2018. Rhubarby, sourish and funky with some vinegar, berries, wood, oak and farmyard, some yeastiness and acidic sourness. Heavy, intense and funky.

7 3 7 3 15Draft at BXL Beerfest ‘18, Brussels. Very hazy red orange with a white head. Aroma is floral with citrus and light funk. Flavour is light moderate sweet and sour. Light medium bodied with light carbonation.
