Red waxed bomber pours with a clear deep copper amber colored body that supports a thin tan head of foam. The aroma offers up plum running into toffee like reduced sugars and some boozy heat on the nose. The taste delivers smooth sweet maltiness as well as plum to date like sweet dark fruity esters to start. The prickly booziness hits early and then quickly warms up the experience. Toward the finish it picks up a spicy maple drizzled pecans and then the barrel treatment takes over into the after taste.

Taster shared with Matt. Appearance: hazy copper with a tan head. Aroma: pecan pie with apples. Taste: along the same lines, not very integrated flavors, though, they taste like being apart. Overall: not balanced, meh.

On tap at Reuben's Brews, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma is somewhat artificial, with bourbon barrels, pecan pie, and toasted caramel. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of pecan pie flavour, followed by bourbon barrels, vanilla, and treacle. A bit artificial, but with lots of pecan and bourbon, which are nice. Fun but not that elegant or integrated.
