Our Chuckanut Doppelbock is an extra strong, dark brown lager that's aged for 8 weeks at 29 degrees and is full flavored with a deceptively smooth finish. Be forewarned, it's dangerously easy to drink!

16.9 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber brown with a medium beige head. Nose brings out dark red fruits, bready malt, and a hint of toffee. Flavour brings out red fruits, a hint of tartness, bready malt, and a touch of toffee. Moderate body, with plenty of red fruits and light tartness. Decent.

Bottle from The Gull, North Vancouver
Dark brown colour, medium head, reducing quite quickly. Mild but elegant aroma, malt, rye bread, sugar. Medium body, nice malt profile, burnt sugar, a touch of molasses, and very low bitterness.
It would be excellent if a bit thicke and sweeter, but profile-wise it hits the right notes. Very good.

@South Nut. Golden-brown, very sweet but balanced. Really nice dark sugars and slight fruitiness. Not bad, maybe a touch thinner than I might prefer.
