Tasting at Phill's, can
Filthy amber colour. Moderate malt and caramel character, possibly some Belgian yeast, the excessive carbonation is another sign of infection, but it doesn't impact the flavour too much, it's not a Barley Wine anyway. Drinakble

500ml @ Phill's. Appearance: murky dark golden with a huge beige head. Aroma: apple character. some sweetness, malty. Taste: along the same lines, very bubbly, hoppy bitterness aftertaste. Overall: another infected QC beer. oh well.

Poured from 500mL bottle. Orangey brown with full light beige head. Bready caramel, touch of brett and marmalade. Not great, but still fine.

500mL bottle, pours a hazy dark amber orange with a massive beige head. Aroma seems infected as so many QC BA beers are — there's subtle brett, bready caramel, and some resins. Flavour is suspicious—almost more like a Belgian strong; how is this a barley wine? There's notes of Belgian yeast, a little funk, and some oak. Definitely not a barley wine, nor are there whiskey barrel notes. Overcarbonated and clearly messed up. Yet another incompetent QC BA beer. Why are so many of these infected?
