A base ale rested on 1000 lbs of 2020 harvested dark cherries in French oak casks, then blended with a lemony mixed culture bier from a favourite foeder. Bright acidity, layered fruit and subtle tannin balance with fruit forward brettanomyces in conditioning.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque dark rusted red with a tiny, bubbly white head. Nose is quite tannic, with a prominent oak barrel presence, wild bugs, some rustic saison yeast, and plenty of tart, dry cherries. Flavour is quite fruity, with lots of deep, tart cherries, lots of oak, plenty of tannins, and bugginess that adds a nice complexity. This comes together really well — especially due to the oak, tannins and cherries. Excellent.
