Brewed with New Zealand Riwaka hops, this single hop IPA has flavours and aromas reminiscent of Grapefruit, citrus and tropical fruit. Golden Promise malt brings a complexity that stands up to the rich hop character and adds a subtle sweet finish.

Was the cyclops misunderstood? Known throughout time as the man-eating, one-eyed giant, his revenge on the Greek hero Odysseus incited one of the greatest epic adventures of all time. Perhaps the Cyclops’ lone peeper symbolized a cosmic third eye, responsible for the foresight of historic proportions… Something to ponder while you enjoy this single-hopped IPA – A balanced ale with NZ hop Riwaka’s robust sweet citrus character -That may inspire a different outlook on things.

Hazy and dullish amber. Medium head. Has a mild nelson aroma, and on the palate about the same. It comes across mild (well, after that Slow Hand one, definitely). But it's also on the yeasty side. Moderate bitterness. I think the yeastiness is not working for me but I this is a rare time trying one of these in a can; usually I'm having it at the brewery.

473mL can. Pours opaque dull yellow with a white head. Juicy stonefruit and tangy berries on the nose. Flavour has a very nice profile, tangy berries, juicy stonefruit, and white wine emphasized on the finish. The Nelson contributed very nicely, though it wasn't as clean as I was hoping. Still quite nice, especially for a hazy.

2021-10-23, can from The Gull, North Vancouver, 9-4-8-4-17=42
Cloudy blond colour. Intense, pungent Nelson Sauvin aroma, wonderful. Lean mouthfeel, with light residual sweetness; delicate malt base; strong Nelson Sauvin flavour, grapes, tropical fruit; balanced bitterness.
Excellent.

Cloudy blond colour. Powerful Nelson Sauvin character here, tropical, pungent; the juiciest is boosted by the light residual sweetness. I feel like this hop has been underrepresented in recent years. Excellent.

16oz on Alex's porch shared with Ryan. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: car exausts, skunky, some tropical fruits. Taste: much better, just a little of that cars' thing, more tropical fuits, nice carbo. Overall: pretty good.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 10/06/2021). Slightly cloudy gold with light orange hue and small white head. Nose is a bit overwhelming of Nelson and skunky exhaust. Flavour is very good though - citrus, peel, very light tropical, hint of white wine character.

473mL can, pours a cloudy bright golden yellow with a medium white head. Nose is loaded with Nelson, with tons of white wine tanginess, citrus hops, some citrus peel. Flavour is a blast of white wine tanginess from the Nelson, with some citrus peel bitterness, and crisp biscuity malt. Man, that Nelson really shines and elevates this to being the best version of Cyclhops yet. Excellent.
