Made especially for our Lager Fest, this bourbon barrel aged Pilsner is a blend of two of our slow lagered beers - La Piazza Pils and El Malecon Corn Lager. Expect a subdued funkiness with undertones of vanilla in the aroma plus an earth and floral balance of noble hops and subtle oak.

Draught at the brewery, 8oz
Hazy blond colour, large fluffy head. Everything is mild here, so the barrel, mild itself, seems to leave some notable trace; malts and hops seem weird; very light sourness. So boring that I'm not even inclined to write anything else. Mediocre. Overpriced.

On tap at Darby's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some plasticy notes, biscuity malt and straw. Flavour is rather plasticy, tasting like they haven't cleaned their lines — there's some cereal malt and straw in back, but there's no real pils character. Why would you age a pilsner in bourbon barrels? What a dumb idea. Poor.
