33 Brewing Experiment and Our Mutual Friend Brewing sought to solve the international isolation issue utilizing the postal service and mailing the other brewery their favourite house saison culture. Here at 33, we made two versions; one using local malt and hops with OMF Brettanomyces and one with our house culture.
Separated by terroir, time and international borders, two saison-minded breweries can't help but collaborate on something lovely. Brewing from a common recipe with malt and hops sourced regionally, OMF and 33 highlite the best agricultural ingredients grown nearest to each brewery.

Poured from the tap. Hazy gold with small white head (side-by-side with OMF version). Farmhouse yeast, mild brett, funk, touch of pepper. Overall, feels slightly subdued, disappointing.

On tap at 33 Acres, pours a hazy bright golden with a small white head — side-by-side with the OMF version. Aroma is full of brett funk, gentle rustic notes, and a touch of black pepper. Flavour is rustic, funky and peppery, with a real nice expression of brett, plenty of rustic farmhouse notes, and a bit of tasteful black pepper. No tartness unlike the OMF version. Really good, clean expression of the brett, with a nice spicy, peppery finish. Excellent.
