In this Scottish-style Ale, the journey is in mind over the destination: malt-forward and medium to full bodied with notes of deep caramel, slight tones of dates or raisins, and a hearty bready backbone. Our Wee Heavy is brewed to be as authentic as possible, using Golden Promise and Simpsons Crystal Malts imported right from Great Britain. This malt-forward beverage will warm your heart and belly as the nights grow longer through September.

473 ml can. Pours a clear brown with huge head. Aromas of bready malts and sweet muddled fruit/berries. Flavors of candied fruit with bitter bread crust. Odd.

473mL can, pours a clear dark mahogany with a medium beige head. Aroma is full of bready malt upfront, with a touch of toasted caramel. Flavour is on the dry side for a scotch ale, with lots of bready malt, gentle toasted caramel, and toasted nuts. Dry, malty, nutty mouthfeel, with lots of bready caramel. Decent, but I want a richer, maltier character from this style.
