Unfiltered Franconia-inspired amber kellerbier: smooth and malty with a very mellow carbonation. As they say in Bamberg, “ungespundet natürtrüb.”

Bottle poured. Always looking forward to the next lager from these guys. This style always catches my eye as well. Thick, cloudy golden orange pour. Rocky head that fades. Sweet bready grains here. Like, surprisingly sweet, and I don't really know why. Bready aroma with some orange zest and a gentle floral. Palate lingers with a rich wort. Really odd miss here for me. Some good things going for it, but had a tough time slugging this one down all things considered.

Draught at the brewery; 4.8% ABV
Clean amber colour, with tan, creamy head. The malt base has strong bread qualities, but not much body; I'm wondering if it lacks a bit of carbonation; correct bitterness. Glad I had a half pour, could be too much on its own, but good with most food.

On tap at the Bellingham brewery/taproom. Clear deep golden with a full off white head. Mild grains and subtle noble hops. A mother smooth easy. Nice

Pale amber, thick head, has a bit of a yeasty aroma. Gentle, soft body, bitterness is quite low. It’s clean but needs hop. Gentle leafy hop but well below style standards. Not bad mouthfeel, that’s close.

On tap at Otherlands, pours a clear copper with a medium white head. Aroma is restrained, with light toasted bready malt and straw. Flavour is moderately malt-forward, with bready malt and light toasted caramel. Pleasantly malty and clean, but I'm not as enthused about this one as some of their other lagers.
