Schnapp-Fläschle (1000ml): Deep ruby-amber coloured, a bit unclear, big and stable brownish head, distinctive bitter-sweet aroma of dark malt with toasty traces and some fruity spots; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit fizzy; mildly lingering dark malty finish with a delicate happiness in the aftertaste. Surely well made, but a bit overrated IMHO....

12-12-16 // 1000ml swingtop bottle. Pours an almost clear dark beer, small white head. Strong malty. Well balanced malt mix. Roast malts. Smooth and aromatic.

Growler 1000ml. w. swing top. [ As Rheinhessen-Bräu Dunkel ].[ Courtesy of flaskefolket ]. ABV: 4.6%. Clear medium to light dark amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark malt, vinegar notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, bread, dark malt, caramel, sour milk notes. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150620]

100cl bottle @ Sankt Hans Tasting, Ulfborg Aroma has nuts, roasted tones and mild coffee tones. Flavour is dry with tart-ish berry juice, some roasted malt and mild bready malt tones. Quite tart for a dunkel - and a disappointment.

Bottled@fonefan. Slightly hazy amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, some mild toffee and a bit fruity notes. Flavour is wooden, mild tartness as well as some slight toasted and fruity notes.

1 liter Growler @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, malt, fruits and hops.

1 L Growler. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Some chocolate and caramel notes. Average moderate bitter flavor. Nice caramellic. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate. Nice.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, Karamell, leicht würzig. Geschmack angenehm röstmalzig, leichte schokoladige Noten, leicht würzig.

Schöner malzig-frischer Geruch. Der Antrunk ist frisch-röstmalzig und sehr mild. Diese milde, schon fast cremige Note hält sich auch weit in den Hauptteil hinein, dabei wird das Bier etwas muffig, bleibt aber doch erstaunlich frisch und sehr süffig. Zum Abgang hin wird die röstmalzige Note etwas schwächer, es tritt eine leichte, angenehme Herbe auf, die aber doch im Hintergrund bleibt. Auf der Zunge bleibt eine mittellange, leicht röstmalzig-herbe weich-cremige Note. --> Leckeres, mildes Dunkel! Empfehlenswert! (Test vom 5.11.2008) --> 12,14,13,13,12,14 - 13,40
