Named after our fave French backcountry ski town, LaGrave’s rare yeast produces a rocky head releasing aromas of crusty bread and earthy spices. Our Triple Golden Ale carves out flavors of ripe pear, straw and black pepper with a dry, champagne powder finish.

Candi and pear nose. Hazy amber, effervescent gusher, thick lacy head. Full body, dry, warm. White grape, metallic flavor. A bit overattenuated.

New Beer Distributors, NYC 375ml ($3.25): Pours orange with a nice white head. Aroma is really fruity, with plenty of berries bananas and flowers. Taste is only slightly sweet. The fruity flavors really come out powerfully here, indeed in a unique way that is seldom seen in tripels or really any other beer style. The floral tastes are a nice touch as well. Light amount of bitterness. Pleasant aftertaste. This is very well put together. Goof job Troegs!

C&C 375 mL bottle from Beer Run. Pours a hazy orange color with a large foamy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of candi sugar, pale malt, scuppernongs, mild spice and herbal notes. The taste is spice, white grapes, earth, candi sugar, pale malt. Medium bodied, lingering spice.

Pours gold into a tulip. White head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Sweet dough and bread aromas. Sweet biscuit and hay upfront turning hot in the toast and citrus finish.

Sampled from a 12.7 oz corked brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy golden-apricot color with a large creamy orange-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy table sugar, bread dough, golden fruits, pepper and perfume. The flavor was tangy, bready and yeasty with golden fruits and table sugar. Long finish with alcohol peeking through. Thick and full bodied. Very nice.
