Recieved in trade. Thanks Bill.
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was hazy slightly golden to bronzed yellow color. A one finger white foamy head appeared and dissipated immediately. Barely any lacing appeared.
The smell had a slight sweet to tart apple.
The taste was basically the same with a light spice in the aftertaste. It had a dry finish.
On the palate, it sat about a medium on the body with a nice sessionable feel to it. Carbonation seemed good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good tripel. I’d have it again.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Yoav’s place. Thanks Yoav. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma of graininess ,some fruitiness, a spicy hint and a cardboard note. Sweetish flavor, phenolic and alcoholic, with some fruitiness and a bitterish spicy finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle. Floral orange malt and alcohol aroma. Hazy golden yellow with minimal head. Sweet light cinnamon, orange/peach malt and lightly bitter/astringent alcohol flavor. Really like the fruit flavor.

Very nicely done, and not very grave at all. Rich palate with lots of floral aroma and coriander. Pours hazy blonde with good head and lacing. Light sweet finish, soft carbonation. Light citrus. Great balance. Bottle.

Location: Bottle from Buy Rite, 7/25/14

Aroma: The nose is sweet and yeasty, some bubble gum, fruit, and spice notes as well
Appearance: A murky golden-orange color with a thick froth of off-white head and heavy lace
Flavor: The flavor profile is right along the Belgian yeast expectations, sweet, but not overly so
Palate: The body is medium, it has a clean feel, average carbonation, and a light dry finish
Overall Impression: This is a pretty nice example of the style for me. It comes off as pretty well made and enjoyable. I quite enjoyed drinking this beer. Very nice.

375ml bottle pours a clear gould with some cloudy, white head. Nose has some perfume, candy sugar, mild spice, mild tropical fruit. Flavor has more tropical fruit, a bit of booze, some fruit, some candy sugar, spice. Boozy finish. Kind of eh.

375 ml bottle into chalice, bottled on 3/26/2014. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy bright gold color with a 1-2 finger dense and fluffy white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Outstanding and spot on appearance. Aromas of big peach, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, bread, candi sugar, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of big peach, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, bread, candi sugar, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness. Sizable yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of peach, apricot, pear, apple, light banana, clove, pepper, bread, candi sugar, herbal, floral, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; with a crisp malt/yeast balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, crisp, and lightly prickly/bready mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding tripel style. All around awesome complexity and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale malt, and earthy hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to sip on. A highly enjoyable offering.
