Baked Apple Sour features our sour wheat ale aged in oak barrels and foudres for up to one year, then infused with juice from freshly pressed, local apples, Ceylon cinnamon and dark maple syrup.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: copper color with a thin cap of a little white foamy head which dissipated inward and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: green apple, red apple, woody/oak barrel, touch of vanilla, then cinnamon and at the end the sour aspect chimes in
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet to tart quality; finishes with the mix of apples with a great level of sour
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to being sessionable as plenty of smoothness envelopes the tongue and the tart and sour becomes nondescript
Overall: baked apple sour! Well it certainly is and very worthy of returning to if I could.

Can. Almost clear golden under a small, fast disappearing white head. Aroma has apple cider, cinnamon and hint of fruit syrup. Taste has a fine combination of sweetness and fruity acidity, sweet apple, baked apple, acidic apple juice, hint of malt, lots of cinnamon. Fine body and same aftertaste all the way through. Nice, funny and slightly original.

On tap at Cascade, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is full of cinnamon, baked apples, and light tartness. Flavour is sweet, with lots of baked apple, brown sugar and cinnamon. More sweet than sour. Not a huge amount of depth, but it is tasty. Like liquid baked apple pie.
