Poured from 355mL can. Near black with small tan head. Dark fruits, barrel, almost barley wine -ish, light roast. A bit odd, okay.

12oz @ Ryan's. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: caramel, inky, moderate sweetness, some barrel. Taste: along the same lines, lots of caramel (that's probably coming from the BW that was in the barrels before). Overall: good one. If I wouldn't know, I would say it's a blend of Imperial Stout with Barleywine.

355mL can, pours black with small light brown head. Aroma brings out very faint bourbon barrels, light caramel, and some roast. Flavour is much the same -- the second use quality of the bourbon barrels is quite noticeable, as the barrel character is quite subdued. There's light roast, some dark fruits, and toasted caramel. A little lacking in complexity, but pleasant enough.

Can. Dark brown. Just a thin head. Nice, rich bourbony aroma with deep fruitiness, and a bit of burnt stuff. Big body, again quite rich and raisiny, light booze, and all kinds of complex dark sugars. Delicious. Classic BA impy.
