Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6
On tap at Great Notion - Georgetown, pours black with a small light brown head. Aroma brings out burnt dry cocoa and peppermint — seems a bit scorched to me. Flavour is much the same, with lots of peppermint and burnt cocoa. I'm not a peppermint fan and this one doesn't win me over. The creamy chocolate mouthfeel helps, but I still don't like the peppermint. Not my thing.

This beer wasn’t going to drink itself. Chocolate, mint , roasty. It’s actually better than back in January, though that was after a COVID bout.
