Golden-amber. Strange aroma - cacao nibs I guess. On the palate it’s got a hint of acidity, spice, candied orange peel, still quite sweet all the way through. Kind of a nutmeggy sort of character. So it tastes like mead with a bunch of stuff in it but to me it’s different than the stuff they actually put in it.

Power tasting at Matt's slaughterhouse, corked bottle; batch 1
Amber colour, a bit dull. Mild aroma: alcohol, milk chocolate. Medium sweetness, a bit too hot; chocolate/cacao character, light maraschino cherries, feels like oxidation
Chaotic.

375ml @ Matt's parents' place with a scenic view. Appearance: clear copper. Aroma: not pleasant mix of tons of yeasts with tons of nuts. Taste: along the same lines, very sweet. Overall: BAD, it didn't completely work for me.

375mL bottle, pours a clear dark chestnut brown/amber. Aroma is full of wildflower honey, toasted nuts, vanilla beans, and plenty of cocoa nibs. Flavour is not actually that sweet -- there's toasted hazelnuts, cocoa nibs, fermented out honey, and some oak. Quite boozy, but the adjuncts are decently coherent. Not a top-tier mead by any means, but it's solid.
