Tap at the Flying Saucer in DFW - clear copper - clean, medium-sweet, with dark bread and lightly caramelized sugars - clean finish with light bitterness - it’s nice.

On tap at Flying Saucer Draught Emporium - DFW Airport, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma is dry and earthy, with dry bready malt and some toasted nuts. Flavour is rather herbal, with dry bready malt, some herbaceous notes, and a hint of toasted nuts. Very dry, somewhat earthy, and herbaceous finish. Pleasant enough.

The 12 oz can was discovered at the local mega-supermarket in their single display. Well cooled off, pulling the tab and making the pour inside of my favored New Belgium globe glass. The show is less of a Shiner Bock appearance and more of an amber ale. An interesting, steady, silvery skim. Nice scent, a touch of toffee and bread. Fairly aggressive taste for a typically unimposing style. Crackers, medicine, whole grain bread, some caramel sweetness and perhaps a bit of red fruit, where’d that come from? Not a bad beer.

12 oz can from Total Wine - San Antonio. Pours a crystal clear mahogany color with a beige head and decent retention. Decent lacing. Malty aroma. Dark malt and caramel flavor with a light smoky finish. Medium body. Semi-slick mouthfeel. Average carbonation and no bitterness. Really smooth, clean and tasty.
