Tasting at Ryan's, bottle; vintage 2020
Black colour, small tan head. It's very cacao forward, with mild fruity edge, little berry jam. The sweetness is less than the average pastry stout, and the alcohol is warming. Good.

750ml shared with Phill (thx for the beer, man!) and Alex @ Ryan's. Vintage 2020. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: American oak, some maple, dark fruits, some sweetness. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: not as thick as I would expect from 12.2 dark beer, but oh well, it's an imperial porter (Alex - :P), not an imperial stout.

Poured from 750mL bottle (vintage 2020). Very dark brown with small beige head. Raisin forward with mild maple syrup and cacao. As it warms, more maple syrup comes out. Decent.

Svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter lønnesirup, mørk sjokolade, marsipan og noe nøtter. Fyldig. Søt. Smaker brent lønnesirup, mørk sjokolade, noe kaffe og tobakk. Middels lang.

On tap at AleSmith, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma is decadent, with intense raisins, maple syrup and bourbon barrels — that's pretty over the top. Flavour is absurdly intense, with loads of maple syrup, concentrated raisin, some cocoa nibs, and big bourbon notes. Nothing subtle about that. Finishes with notes of bourbon, raisins, and maple syrup. Ridiculous extreme beer that is delicious but drinkable only in a couple of ounces at most.
