Cask at Wigan Central, Wigan – though I have drunk it a number of times before. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head. The aroma is mainly chocolate and roasted malts. Roast malts to the fore again in the mouth, along with liquorice and traces of coffee and lactose. Some saltiness too, leading to a significantly dry finish. This is very nice – certainly packs a punch.

Third, gravicask, shared with Finn at Twickenham Beer and Cider Festival. Black in the glass, beige bubbly head. Dotted spots to the glassware. Roasted malt-driven aromas, mid-sweet. Balance taste of cocoa and caramel malt. Roasted ending. Easy to drink. Decent stout version. (24.10.2019).
