A brand new, unique brew made in collaboration with Cavallo Winery. This farmhouse ale, brewed with honey and lavender, was aged over several months in Cavallo's french oak barrels. This brought out great flavours of savoury spice and vanilla. A beautiful blend of chardonnay and muscat creates flavours of tangerine, starfruit, lychee, and orange blossom.

On tap at Brave. Pale, bright, not much head. Phenols, some bitterness, clean pale malt and some sweeter barrel notes.

473mL can, pours a hazy golden with a medium white head. Nose brings out a decent rustic farmhouse character, with toasted grains, straw, and sweet malt -- not really getting any vinous character. Flavour is on the sweet side for a saison, with some esters, rustic notes, sweet cereal grains, and maybe a touch of vinous character but it's pretty faint. Competently brewed, but this one seems to need more attenuation to get rid of the sugars, and needs more wine barrel presence for the barrels to be worth the trouble. As is, it's alright.
