Lacking logic, caution or restraint, Numbskull is a hard-hitting and intense Double IPA. To discover the most exceptional flavours, each new rotation is an experiment in hop-lunacy. Our 11th expedition discovers a whole orchard of flavour from the addition of the Rakau hop. Originating in New Zealand, this hop variety imparts an abundance of stone fruit notes, such as apricot, plum, mango and pear, finishing with refreshing hints of pine and lime.

650 ml bottle. Pours a copper color with light head. Aromas of fruity citrus, bready malts and soft resiny pine. Flavors follow same with additional stoned fruit jelly and a little tropical fruit. Soft resin and malty finish. Beauty. Need more of these. So refreshing to get a good old school IPA now…

650mL bottle, pours a clear bright amber golden with a small white head. Nose is old school, with lots of resinous hops, some pine, and big caramel malt. Flavour is loaded with big oily resinous hops upfront, followed by moderately bitter pine, and a big bready caramel malt backbone. For a chewy, malty, old school IIPA, this is very well-done. I like the blonder, less maltier west coast IIPAs, but this is very well-made regardless. Excellent.
