Exchanging Glances is an unfruited blend of mixed culture saisons that was aged in a single rosato barrel from our friends at Alto Cirrus Wine Co. The rosato barrel originally held a blend of chardonnay, pinot noir, and pinot gris wines. This blend allows our base saison, house mixed culture, and a special barrel to be in the forefront without being masked by yucky fruit.

Poured from bottle at FHF 2022 (notes from Aug 06, 2022). Cloudy yellow with white head. Earthy, grain, light funk, pepper, touch of cheese? Average.

Some nice warmth - what is that character? Maltiness, but not quite. Light barrel and mellow acidity. Stone fruit notes coming through as well.

Bottle thanks to Adrian. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is yeast, floral, wood. Slick body, lemon zest, oak, light tartness, very good.

Bottle sample at Farmhouse Fest 2022, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle vinous notes and light bugs. Flavour is buggy and oaky, with rustic notes and bugginess. Earthy and buggy. It's alright.
