Maple nut crunch porter
An Oath to the Void started as an English-style porter, brewed with Maris Otter, and a selection of specialty roasted grains. It was lightly hopped in the kettle with EKG, and fermented with a classic English yeast strain. Post fermentation we rested the beer on a blend of almond, hazelnut, cinnamon, vanilla, and maple. All the flavors blend perfectly to create what we are calling a maple nut crunch porter.

On tap at Holy Mountain, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of maple, toasted nuts and a hint of cinnamon, along with a medium roasted malt base — vert intriguing. Flavour is drier than expected given the adjunct mix, with lots of maple nut crunch indeed — there's traces of vanilla, toasted nuts, some gentle sugars, and of course maple. The roasted malt base provides a nice support for the unique mixture of adjuncts. Really solid.
