West Coast Pilsner

Onda, which means wave in Italian, is quintessentially West Coast and showcases our love of blending old traditions with new ones. This West Coast pilsner blends the crisp, clean flavours of an old-world German-style pilsner with the hoppy aromatics of a West Coast IPA. It pours a pale straw yellow with a slight chill haze and a fluffy white head. Aromas of tangerine, tropical fruit, and melon with a subtle floral character roll into flavours of honey, graham cracker, and a gentle bitterness balanced by malt sweetness. We hope you can catch a break and enjoy this beer as much as we do.

473ml can. Pours a hazy pale gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, sticky curtains of soapy lace. Aroma of crackery pale malt, lemon, honey and floral hops. Sweet flavour of biscuity pale malt, grapefruit, cantaloupe, pineapple, grass and piney hops in a crisp, dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Not a Pilsner fan at all, but this is an excellent Pils. Very dank.

Poured from the tap @ Luppolo. Lightly hazed blonde with small white head. Melon and grassy hops with a clean pils base and feint dry resin finish. Decent.

6oz pour at brewery. Pours clear yellow with large foamy white head. Aroma is light and grassy. Flavour is crisp with strong grassy and herbal notes; crisp light malts. Slightly resin on finish. Clean and very drinkable. Good beer.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Pale blond colour, chill haze. The aroma is mild, with bready and grassy notes, light pine. The mouthfeel is dry, crisp; the malt base is a bit too timid; robust bitterness, with some herbaceous and piney character.
Bold, very clean, pleasant.

Thick head. Earthy herbaceous hop and a lot of sweet malt. Solid if a bit sweet.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassy hops, some light piney bitterness, melon, and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp and clean, with a very nice biting grassy hop character, a touch of pine, and crisp crackery malt. Well-hopped, with a clean, crisp mouthfeel that lingers on the finish. Punchy and very drinkable. Very good.

Very nice pilsner. Not sure if the hops taste super west coast but it's a great pilsener. Golden pour with ok head. Very crisp bitter end, well balanced. Can.
