A light hoppy golden ale with a subtle herbal aroma. Dolgellau was the centre of a gold rush in the 19th century. At one time the local gold mines employed over 500 workers and they traditionally supply the gold for the royal weddings.

Bottle from Stori. Appearance - golden with very low carbonation. The head disappears in a couple of minutes. Nose - sweet malt, cake mixture and honey. Taste - cakey and honey again. Palate - light to medium bodied, low carbonation as expected from the appearance. The finish could be fresher. Overall - it's under-carbonated.

Third by hand-pulled cask at GBBF Winter, Jewellers Bar. Shared with Finn. Misty warm golden body, bubbles on the surface, rings of lace down the glass. Moderate malt-fruity nose, semi sweet. Hints of honeyed malts to the taste buds added by distant dried fruits to the ending. Fair enough. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).

10th Oct 2015: 500ml bottle shared at home with MarcusM, the first beer in a random tasting evening. Poured a deep golden colour, the head a lasting white pillow. Malt lead in the nose and taste, semi-sweet with a honey hint within the flavours, mild citrus undertones also. Decent and a good start to the evening.
