As we set out to celebrate the tenth release in our Hellshire series, we looked for inspiration from our favorite Hellshire recipes from the past half decade. The result is a “Grand Cru” blend for the ages. Made up of three Imperial Stout recipes, paying homage to Hellshire VI, Hellshire VII, and our 2019 Hellshire Experience beers; all gracefully aged in Basil Hayden Bourbon barrels, Blanton’s Single Barrel Bourbon barrels, Rittenhouse Rye Whiskey barrels, and American Port Barrels, and carefully blended for depth and expressiveness. Released only after being aged to perfection. A thank you to all the loyal fans who have taken our flagship barrel-aged series this far, and the opening of the next chapter of Hellshire. Cheers to Hellshire X!

22oz bottle. Pours black with a minimal head. Lots of roasted malt, bourbon, and port on the nose. Flavour has a ton of boozy barrels and a nice malty base beer. The sweet characteristics of the bourbon, port, and rye work very well with the style. A bit rough around the edges, but very good.

22oz @ Matt's new place. Appearance: almost black with a weak dark beige head. Aroma: different barrels, smells more like a barleywine and stout blend. Taste: along the same lines. Overall: pretty good, but far from their top things. Wouldn't be able to finish it alone.

Dark brown. Ok, some parmagianno regianno on the nose, with some dark fruits and a bit of molasses. It's a bit sticky, definitely boozy, the cheesiness is subdued on the palate, with a

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with minimal head. Underlying bourbon, mild roast, very nice (overall, I like the Hellshire IX better, but still very nice).

22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is rich, complex and extreme, with lots of whiskey barrels, bourbon, and medium roast. Flavour is extremely bold, with lots of earthy whiskey barrels, bourbon barrels, and medium roast. It's a bit too earthy, but the barrel blend is quite nice. Seems a bit jumbled but it's nicely blended.
