Our Oval Beach Blonde is a light ale with subtle malt characteristics combined with a pleasing hop profile for light fruit flavors. This is a good gateway into the world of beer for newer craft beer drinkers and a perfect everyday pint.

(bottle, 35.5cl) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond and short foamy head. Slightly bready and delicately grainy malty aroma with fruity (apricot, citrus) and flowery hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Grainy and slightly sugary malt upfront with mildly flowery and delicately fruity hops; sweet malt-accented and shy hoppy finish. Too sweet for my liking. 29.VIII.14

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Grainy aroma with cautious hints of yellow stone fruit, apricot, peach. Taste is moderately sweet pale malty, minimally fruity, a touch of apricot, peach and mirabelle; light and slightly watery. An easy-drinking Summer Ale.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, bottled on 3/3/2014. Pours slightly hazy golden straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass. Aromas of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, straw, floral, grass, slight pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale/bready malt, earthy hops, and light yeast fruitiness; with solid strength. Taste of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, straw, floral, grass, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness. Slight earthy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, pear, cracker, biscuit, light honey, straw, floral, grass, light pepper, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and robustness of pale/bready malt, earthy hops, and light yeast fruitiness; with a crisp and balanced finish with no cloying flavors. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, crisp, and slightly bready mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with no warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good American blonde ale. All around good robustness and balance of pale/bready malt, earthy hop, and light yeast fruitiness; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.
