Peanut Butter Chocolate Porter dry-hopped with Georgia peanuts. This chocolate, peanut-butter porter concoction flows like a river of self-indulgent righteousness deep into the depths of your innermost childhood memory. Turn on, tune in, and drop out of this world for a tongue tripping experience of flavors never before so eloquently combined in a liquid or solid form.

Bottle. Deep, dark brown with a small head. Aroma and taste is...well...like a Reese Cup. Weird as it sounds...this is a pretty good beer.

Old notes- bottle or draft? Deep brown-black body, thin tan head. Nose mostly chalky peanut butter and cocoa. Medium-bodied, peanuty, roasty. Pleasant.

Not sure why this beer doesn’t exactly work, but I’m guessing it’s the porter base, which seems a bit thin to be handling all these adjuncts. Peanut flavor is mostly restrained, not perking up until the back end and even then not exactly screaming Jif. (Didn’t know this was a peanut butter beer when I ordered it, so the fact I had to look up why it tasted so strange shows how unimposing the goobers are.) Chocolate adds a needed depth, yet the porter itself has very little character, offering up slight mocha notes and a weak feel. Neat recipe, not that great execution.

Bottle from Total Wine, Tampa. Pours black with an off white head. Aroma of peanut butter, chocolate and vanilla, though not particularly appealing. Taste was too bitter. Medium+ body and slick texture, soft carbonation. I like chocolate, peanut butter, and porter. But for me the combo just didn’t work.
