Revitalizing this beer is something we have contemplated for some time now, intentionally wanting to make sure that the execution was on point. Our growing relationship with House of Funk Roasting sparked the concept again, so after a blissful nap of 5 years, we're bringing this one back to the people. After tasting through numerous options of coffee concentrates, we settled on a ratio of 80% Mellow Carmelo and 20% Technicolor Espresso, both of which pair exceptionally well with our base beer which we've now kicked up a notch to be a luscious barrel-aged imperial stout. Notes of creme brûlée, bright orange zest, and melted dark chocolate percolate on the nose while warming bourbon, charred vanilla, and espresso encapsulate your palate.

Very rich coffee, medium body for style. Not getting much caramel which is probably a good thing.

Re-rate: Poured from 355mL can. Dark brown with quickly dissipating beige head. Still somewhat similar rating as before, but there is a green pepper note starting to sneak in. Coffee isn't holding up with time. Better to drink the rest of the cans sooner rather than later. Dec 10, 2022 (8/4/8/4/15=3.9): Poured from 355mL can. Black with dissipating beige head. Coffee, sweet vanilla-like creaminess, chocolate, some barrel booze. Decent, but a little bit lacking in overall well roundedness.

12oz (thx for pick-up, Alex!) @ 🏡 Appearance: brown with a big but quickly disappearing dark beige head. Aroma: sweet cold coffee with cream. Maybe some light meaty notes that could be related to the vanilla? Taste: along the same lines, quite rich and intense coffee with cream alongside with some alcohol warmth. Overall: quite nice.

355mL can, pours black with a medium white head. Aroma brings out lots of roasted coffee, plenty of bourbon, and a touch of dark sugars. Flavour is rich, with a real nice combo of bourbon and coffee, with plenty of roast, plenty of vanilla-y bourbon, and a tiny, tiny hint of tartness. Nice coffee and bourbon blend. Very good.

Dark brown colour. Aroma of coffee, earthy. Medium body, this one could have been better supported by thicker body, more sweetness; dark caramel, burnt sugar, and coffee; it doesn't have the green pepper flaw, but there is a bit too much liquorice, and strong alcohol; mild earthiness.

Black, the head disappears quickly. Strong coffee aroma, some chocolate. Sweet, but also this one (like the Where's Walno) is lean, less residual sugar, strong alcohol probably here too, coffee, burnt sugar touch of wood, smoke. Intriguing, but less malt depth than I'd wish for.
