Poured from side pull (šnyt pour) @ Luppolo. Mostly clear blonde with full white head. Clean and crisp pils malt with gentle smoke. Quite nice.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, clear. Notes of honey, wood, light smoke. Crisp malt base, with bread and honey elements, much appreciated; light smoke, as expected, and balanced bitterness; moderate grassy and herbaceous character from the hops. Good.

16oz shared with Alex (thx for the beer, man!) in Golden Ears on Alouette campground. Appearance: clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: typical lager hops with a bit of smoke. Taste: along the same lines, crispy, full-bodied. Overall: good one.

On tap at brewery. Pours clear light gold with white head. Aroma has a nice smoky character, some floral and grassy notes. Flavour has a bit of smoky bitterness, but mainly grassy hops and a bit of light malt. Pretty nice, but the aroma promised more smoke than the flavour could deliver.

Dull pale with a slight haze, bubbly head. Lots of smoke, though I'm sensing sticky malts, too. The smoke comes across lean, the malts gloppy, a bit of bread, but like wonderbread sweet. Decent smoke, could use more bitterness and better malt extraction. There's some decent lagers coming out of this brewery lately but this isn't there -get into rauchbier you're competing against centuries-old masters.

On tap at Luppolo, pours a clear pale golden with a medium white head. Aroma brings out moderate smoke, along with herbal grassiness and an almost perfumey-like floral character. Flavour reveals the smoke character upfront, backed by grassy, herbal biscuity malt. The smoke becomes less and less obvious with each sip, revealing that grassy, herbal base. Light and airy mouthfeel. Clean and nice-drinking.
