Down an oceanside road on North Pender Island rows a pocket of Incredible apple diversity, cared for by the Kouf family. Planted in the 1970's, the ees were first established by a past orchard owner amed Bertine, who is remembered as a keen apple thusiast determined to fill every space of the acreage with apple trees. While some of the writes are common around the Gulf Islands, such McIntosh and Wolf River, many of the trees ar betically unique varieties she propagated from ed Wayne and Karen Kouf have spent the last ew years reclaiming many of these apple trees from the brambles and hedgerows, bringing what is left the original orchard back into use. This is a wide bianced mix of mid to late season varieties.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a quickly-dissipating white head. Aroma is wonderfully fragrant, with intense barnyard funk, crisp apple skins, and some earthy core. Flavour is nicely funky and nearly bone dry, with lots of barnyard funk, crisp apple skins, and some earthy core. Carb is below average for the style and the cider suffers a bit because of it. Good funk and dryness but doesn't have the complexity of some of their others. Good.
