Strong, dark, and silky smooth thanks to cold lagering, this style borrows elements from Imperial Stout, Robust Porter, and Schwarzbier to lend mellow notes of baking chocolate, black licorice, and dark fruit. For a beer this big, we could think of no better visual than Battersea Power Station, one of the world's largest brick buildings and an iconic part of London's skyline.

Malts: Pilsner, Munich, C-60, Crystal Rye, Midnight Wheat, Pale Chocolate
Hops: Hallertau, Magnum

On tap at Reuben's - Fremont, pours a clear dark amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out notes of vanilla, bready malt, and a touch of sugars. Flavour is well-honed, with light vanilla, some sugars, and a little cola. Sturdy body, not too sweet or boozy. Good.
