Cola coloured. No Inca Kola. No head. Liquorice, toffee but also funk. Almost a gin barrel herbal note. Light maltiness, light tartness. Odd even for a dark saison.

On tap at Fair Isle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of chocolate mint upfront, followed by leather, some farmhouse notes, and a touch of vanilla. Flavour is complex and unorthodox, with lots of leather, tart farmhouse notes, chocolate mint, and a touch of vanilla. Complex and wonderfully integrated. Excellent.
