Whiskey & Port Barrel-Aged Imperial Stout. Some oak trees are lucky enough to become barrels. Some barrels are lucky enough to become port barrels. Some port barrels are even lucky enough to become whiskey barrels. Even fewer ex-port whiskey barrels are lucky enough to store our imperial stout for 18 months. The resulting beer was then lucky enough to be blended a with 10% of our barleywine, resulting in this unique, intense, and delightful beer. Lucky you!

Dark brown, sticky, nice dark sugar character, light coffee, nuttiness, the whisky is pretty assertive and it finishes boozy. But the chocolate accent isn't bad.

On tap at Chuck's Greenwood, pours black with a tiny white head. Aroma brings out lots of whiskey barrels, gentle port, and some dark sugars. Flavour is a bit gritty and harsh, with whiskey barrels, bitterness, no notice of the port, and medium roast. A bit rough and harsh. Not up to the standard of OSB's usual beers.
