16 oz can poured, picked up at Special Brews, and enjoyed on the eve of 40 days of NA, so looking to finish strong. This one is certainly ly strong, but drinks incredibly smooth and easy. Dark and dense black pour. Dark fan foam ring head. Very impressionable barrel notes. Lots of smooth whiskey character, thick body, soft notes of coffee and maple. Late lingering oak. Strong and warming, but doesn't have any unbearable intensity that takes away from drinkability. Maybe the easiest drinking 12%+ BA stout that I can remember. Excellent brew here.

Dark brown, no head. Looks a bit dull. Molasses and bourbon on the nose. Not a strong aroma I guess because of lack of head. Sticky, bourbony, figgy, fruity, almost barley wine.

16 oz. can, pours black with a tiny beige head. Aroma brings out lots of whiskey barrels, medium roasted malt, and a touch of cocoa. Flavour is rich, with lots of whiskey barrels, chocolate, medium roast, and some vanillin. Oaky, whiskey-based and roasty. Excellent.
