Bright amber, big head. Big montmorency aroma, mellow tart character, woody.

On tap at Garden Path - Bellingham, pours a hazy bright red with a large off-white head. Aroma has a deep cherry pie characters, light baking spice, and gentle wild yeast that's mostly buried by the cherry. Flavour is aggressive on the buttery cherry pie and baking spice — that's quite a unique expression, almost like I'm eating a slice of buttery (non-diacetyl) cherry pie. The wild yeast is there but subtle. Finishes quite bitter. Not particularly complex but I'm mildly digging this for what it is.

5oz shared with Farees and Phill. Appearance: cherry copper with a huge a bit tan head. Aroma: perfume like cherries, baked cherries and stones. Taste: along the same lines, tons of cherries, some sweetness. Overall: I am a fun of cherries in general, but this one doesn't really have a nice balance IMHO. Ok.
