Boiled for 4 hours with shredded coconut in the kettle, we sent this bad boy to bourbon jail for one year. After accidentally dropping & spilling one of only two barrels, we thought it best to keep this one a taproom secret due to its scarcity. Enjoy being neuralyzed.

Flight at brewery. Pours clear ruddy brown. Aroma has notes of bourbon, caramel malts, and dried berries. Flavour is a mainly bourbon and burnt caramel with some notes of darker fruits. Feels a bit clunky, but enjoyable; the burnt caramel flavours are nice.

Dark brown with a bubbly head. Rich bw and rounded barrel character. Figs, a bit nutty, a touch of alcohol. Dates in the finish.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a dark amber/mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma is full of red berries, toffee, bready malt, though no notice of the barrels or coconut. Flavour is much the same, with lots of red berries and toffee, followed by alcohol and bready malt. Again, not noticing the coconut or barrels. Decent enough barley wine, but not particularly complex or refined. Solid.
