Ortega began its life as a wild ale we brewed and fermented in stainless that was going to condition in Foeder #2 for a period of months until we felt it was ready to be released. But when we got a surprise call from @fabriquestgeorge and they told us they had Ortega grape must we could use, we jumped at the chance to combine this beer with the grapes in our Foeder to condition for 4 months. Enjoy this balanced wild ale that displays beautiful notes of muscat, stone fruit & oak.

Flight at brewery. Pours clear pale yellow. Aroma is sour with grassy and citron notes. Flavour is quite light, also has some grassy/citron stuff going on. A bit lacklustre.

Very pale. Quite vinous. Soft body, juicy, low carbonation. Light tartness. Very grapey. Simple flavours, unique body, I like it.

On tap at House of Funk, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out subtle grape must, some rustic saison yeast, and some grainy notes. Flavour is a little more interesting, with crisp crackery malt, white grape must, and rustic saison yeast. Mineraly, seltzery palate with low residual sweetness. Moderately complex but still leaves plenty of room for improvement. Decent.
