On tap at Steamworks Mount Pleasant. Pours hazy pale blonde with a white head. Nose has a rustic yeast background with grape must and Nelson tang in the fore. Flavour has tons of grape must, tangy white wine grapes, and a rustic, peppery yeast character. This is very nicely done.

16oz @ Ryan's (thx for the beer, man!) after another freaking crazy weekend πŸ€ͺ Appearance: clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma: artificial fruity grape notes, crispy, some funk. Taste: along the same lines. Quite simple, not very sophisticated. Overall: it's fine for what it is, but it definitely lacks complexity and integration. It feels like shortcuts were used to create this beer.

Poured from 473mL can. Clear blonde gold with white head. Dry peppery saison yeast with very feint hopping and minimal underlying vinous notes (they must have disappeared in the can). Just okay.

Slight haze, thin head. Off-dry, the vinous notes are subtle, playing off the slight tartness, though there’s a but if doughy malt in there as well. Goes in the right direction but I’d like it drier and with brighter vinous character.

On tap at Beva, pours a clear golden blonde with a small white head. Aroma reveals a wonderful combo of the Nelson and the Sauv Blanc grape skins, with gentle rustic notes in back. Flavour is dry, and the loads of white wine hop tanginess, white grape skins, and rustic saison yeast, leaving a dry, vinous, floral, and tangy finish. Really great use of grapes and hops with a good enough base saison. The first Beva saison I've thought is excellent.
